NDMCE provided engineering
Services necessary to prepare a comprehensive Erosion and
Sedimentation analysis for Farmers Branch Creek. Included
development of a HEC-1 model to update analysis for ultimate
development conditions, hydraulic analysis with HEC-2 and conversion
to HEC-RAS model, determination of channel velocities and evaluation
of erosive forces. The channel stability was evaluated based on site
reconnaissance information, calculation of erodibility indices, and
determination of future downcutting using a channel degadation
model. Also included the review of improvement alternatives, matrix
evaluation of options, development of typical improvement sections,
evaluation of regional detention, review of permit requirements,
development of concept plan and associated cost projections.
