South Mesquite Channel Improvements

South Mesquite Creek Flood and Erosion Control - Mesquite, Texas

This project involved the analysis and design of a flood control project for approximately 10,000 linear feet of South Mesquite Creek. The work included hydrologic and hydraulic analyses as well as structural design of channel sections, retaining walls, box culverts and numerous utility relocations. Coordination with the Corps of Engineers was required for a Section 404 permit and LOMR submittal for Phases 1-3. The project was divided into 4 phases. Phases 1 through 4 have been completed. The cost for all 4 phases was approximately $8.2 million.
