Furneaux Creek - Tributary 6E1 / 6E2 - Carrollton, Texas

Design of 6,000 feet of channel and erosion control improvements for the City of Carrollton through a greenbelt park. This erosion reach was one of the priority reaches established in the Master Erosion Control Plan. Project involved hydrologic and hydraulic modeling of improvement alternatives. The selected improvements include a milsap stone channel, associated drop structures, and interspersed reaches of aquatic vegetation. A Section 404 permit was required for this project along with associated plantings and mitigation measures. The cost of construction is approximately $3 million.
