LakeSide on Preston is a 400-acre mixed-use development for SJD Development. NDM was involved in this project from conception to completion. Project components included the design of thoroughfares, single-family residential, commercial, retail, and restaurant sites, pedestrian plazas, and recreation areas. A system of lakes, stream waterways, and walkways networks through the site to provide a system of drainage that also became an aesthetic signature element. NDM provided site layout, grading, water and wastewater systems, local drainage systems, paving, hydrology and hydraulics, the design of dams, a water well, and pumping and irrigation systems. The project started with a comprehensive land plan that received the McSam Award for Best Master Planned Community.
