BRIAN J. LAFOY, P.E., ENV SP
Brian has been with NDM since 1997 and has over 20 years of public works and municipal experience working on a wide variety of infrastructure projects and specializes in transportation, structural engineering, and construction management. He has an extensive construction background as a project engineer and manager for a national bridge/roadway contractor building bridges, roadways, and other heavy civil structures. This diverse work experience has enabled Brian to provide a unique perspective on projects and to develop the technical background necessary to solve difficult problems and issues. Working for a bridge/roadway contractor enlightened him in approaching projects from a very practical and economical perspective while maintaining a sensitivity to time and budget constraints. His time with NDM has built on that as well as expanded his technical ability through the diversity of projects he has designed and managed and the challenges they have provided. Some of Brian’s more notable projects include the construction of the US 75 (Central Expressway) / President George Bush Turnpike (PGBT) Interchange; the rehabilitation design of the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway Bridge in New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina; the rehabilitation design of the Houston Street Viaduct Bridge in downtown Dallas; the design, reconstruction, and expansion of FM 1378 in Collin County, Texas; the design of Hardin Boulevard in McKinney, Texas; and the design of various below grade structures for 108-inch diameter piping at the Lake Fork Pump Station in Lake Fork, Texas.
