Structural Department Project Manager

NDM is seeking a Project Manager position within the Structural Department. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing projects, developing scope and budgets, directing the design, and developing design calculations related to municipal and roadway designs, including bridges, erosion control projects, and various structure types. Candidates should have experience with municipal projects and or water management authorities.


Requirements
  • • 7 years of experience, minimum.
    • Registered Professional Engineer
    • Experience with Revit, SAP2000 and other structural design software packages in addition to AutoCAD and Microstation.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and deliverables
    • Ability to effectively communicate.

  • Education
    Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering.

Water Utilities Project Manager

NMD is seeking a Project Manager position within the Water Utilities Department. The selected candidate will be responsible for the management of municipal and private development water & wastewater projects

Civil Construction Inspector


Overview
This position will support Civil Engineers by working with contractors to observe, document and monitor activities to ensure compliance with specifications, plans, and other contract provisions. Projects may include earthwork, creek restorations, concrete structures, and public utilities.

Responsibilities
    • Complete daily required reports.
    • Coordinate contractor's construction schedule to ensure proper material testing.
    • Make recommendations to engineering staff regarding construction and constructability related issues.
    • Observe work during progress and upon completion for conformance to plans and specifications.
    • Inspect work quality and materials used in a variety of projects.
    • Verify the work of contractors for accuracy, proper work methods, techniques, and compliance with applicable standards and specifications.


Qualifications
• Inspector with a minimum of 5 years' experience in concrete work, earthwork, drainage, and utility construction inspection, preferred.
• Valid Texas Driver's License required.
• Completion of college-level work leading to an associate degree preferred.

Ability to write detailed reports and demonstrated computer skills necessary to access, research, and document results on project tracking websites.
